My Old Rusted Stanley

I have used the 32 ounce thermos since 1987, for my home brewed tea (from Kenya) with milk. I wake up, make the tea and I have hot tea several times a day. This includes the 4 PM tea time engraved in my brain since the days in high school.

In 2001, I went to visit family in Kenya and took my prized Stanley for use there. I asked my mom to keep it there for whenever I visit. I have gone there every other year and still have my hot tea.

I bought another thermos after returning from Kenya in 2001 and last month my dear wife got tired of the peeling paint and rust and asked me to use another brand.

Yesterday morning, I put the thermos on the drive way and it tipped over, fell on the concrete and the glass shattered. I left home without my tea and remembering how many times my Stanley has fallen off my car from the top, hood etc.

This morning, I got my old rusted thermos and I have tea all day. Stainless steel versus glass...thanks Stanley.
