My favorite Stanley memory is of the Green Vacuum bottle that belongs to my dad. From the time I was old enough to go hunting until now, at the age of 26, my dad and I would go deer hunting. My fondest memories are from the ages of about 9 until 16 when he and I would hunt together. We would sit together in a tree stand, usually on cold, cold mornings looking for the “Big Buck”. He always carried his Stanley bottle full of coffee and just about the time we thought our fingers and toes would freeze off, he'd pour a cup for us to share. It always warmed us up enough to stay in the woods even longer. I'm old enough now, in his opinion, to sit in the tree stand by myself, but every time I get out my own green Stanley bottle to fill with coffee, I am reminded of my childhood. The sights, sounds, and smell of the woods on a crisp fall morning come rushing back to me. Thank you Stanley products!

My parents were avid motorcyclists and took a Stanley thermos with them as they traveled around the country on a 1400 cc Suzuki Cavalcade. In the fall of 1989, as they were returning to Illinois from a trip to Kentucky, my father lost control of the big touring bike in the rain. He fought hard to regain control, but ended up laying it down, sliding a good distance on the pavement and shoulder before slamming into a culvert. My mother was riding on the back and both she and my father sustained serious injuries. A rod was used to repair my father's shattered femur. My mother suffered a broken ankle and tibia. Both were laid up in bed for more than a month. The Stanley thermos? It suffered a large dent, but was still in use many years later. I ran across it while helping them move out of their house this summer.

High Atop Loma Prieta in the San Jose bay area. Powers out the generator is starting up and it’s been about 4 hours since the day started. And I have Hot Coffee for a Coffee-holic since 1964.
How many times have I dropped the bottle? Countless. How many times have I had hot coffee? Countless. What a product, I even had the bottom chrome cover rust from inside out.
What a machine, thanks everyone for making my day with a hot cup of coffee for 14 to 15 years.
Thanks for the workmanship, thinking about quality and hot coffee on a cold day at about 3000 feet from the ocean view looking towards Monterey.

Getting it to my favorite fishing spot at Lake Mary, early about 5:30 a.m. and pouring the first Stanley cup of hot joe. Just before fly casting and challenging the pretty hungry brook tout. After catching the first trout fish, I satisfy the catch with my second Stanley cup of still hot joe!
Now that’s a Great Stanley memory enjoyment.

This was my first experience with using Stanley. It was in the winter time and my boyfriend at the time had a Stanley with hot apple cider in it. I was cold and so he offered me some. I remember how I thought that the apple cider was going to be cold but it was hot and steamy and all around delicious. I mean you could see the steam coming up and smell the aroma of the apple cider. Since then I have had always been a fan of Stanley and wanted to buy one but never had the money to do so. I want to get one because of the memory of how well they work (even with apple cider in the cold winter). Thank you so much for listening to my story and I hope that it helps further your business! I really do love Stanley!

My Dad had a Stanley ever since I could remember; he'd always fill with coffee and take it to work. Even though after some years the cup had gotten broken, he was still using that thermos, which was so used it had no color, and there were dents and dings everywhere. I remember asking my dad once when I was small why he didn't buy a new one, his reply was “because sweetie, there's no other thermos I would trust to keep my coffee as hot as this one does”.
Now I am 29 years, and about 3 years ago my dad bought a new Stanley, the old one still being usable, he gave it to my husband. And now I laugh because my husband said almost the exact same thing my dad said to me. “That he’d never trust any other thermos to keep his coffee hot and that as long as they make replacement stoppers, he'd continue using that old Stanley”. What's funny is that the thermos he uses is older then me and more than likely older then him. And that is my story. I hope you enjoyed it :)

The day I was issued with my Stanley in the fall of 1976, and since then, every time I use my Stanley in cold wet days and the joy of having a nice hot cup coffee.
There are so many memories that I have forgot, but I can say it has traveled to W. Germany and back, Miami FL, to the top of the world to Canadian Forces Station, Alert NWT.
My first Stanley is a model no.943, Cap.470ml. I just purchased a new Stanley 1.1 quart bottle (holds more coffee), the new one may not travel as much but so far it is doing a great job.

I'm an over the road truck driver and about five years ago, I had stopped at a truck stop to fuel up and take a shower. As I was fueling up when this real old peterbuilt pulled up in the next bay over and an old trucker got out and began the ritual of fueling his rig. The truck he was driving was nasty, but the trucker was extremely friendly, so I guess the dirt really didn’t bother me. After he had told me about where he had been, and where he was going, and what all he had gone through to get to this point we pretty much said our see ya's and that was that. About an hour later, I was filling up my thermos (which was not a Stanley) and the trucker walked up to me and said, you call that a thermos! That’s for pansies! I'll show you a real man’s thermos! At that moment, he pulls up this green thing that had more scars and dents on it than a junked car. I said what the hell is that thing (laughing). He began to tell me the history of the old green coffee thermos. It seems this guy was all about letting me know how it carried him through many a long night traveling up through Canada and into Alaska for the construction of the Alaskan pipeline. It was a moment like a grandfather telling his grandson about the war or something. The Stanley thermos he was holding was bent badly right in the middle. It seems like it would have punctured it. He said that happened when it rolled under his air ride seat, he hit a bump and bam (he had to weigh 250 pounds)! After our meeting and a few miles down the road I figured, what a far fetched story that was, but it didn’t matter to me because the whole story was told so well. Of course I gave you the condensed version, and of course I own one now.

I carried a Stanley for several years, ran over it with a tractor. When I went to purchase a new one, or rather my wife did, she bought the 'other brand'; couldn't find a Stanley where she was looking... low and behold, the 'other brand' stopped keeping hot coffee within a few years. For my 65th birthday, she bought me a new Stanley while we were traveling. As always... keeps coffee hot -- very hot, much to my satisfaction. Never again will any of us buy the 'other brand' again... just doesn't hold up like my good old Stanley did, but it was ruined for sure when it was run over... The old Stanley went on many trips with our family as well as to work in a warehouse, out to the fields, hunting, you name it, it went.

This was my father's Stanley, it's old and has lot scratches and dents on it and it's still going. Dad passed and now I have it and I will pass it on to my sons.
I remember when I was a little girl; my Mother would fix my Father's lunch and put it in big old Stanley lunch box with the biggest old green thermos tied to the handle. I would wait for my Father to come home from working on the Dam in Kingman, AZ just to see if his coffee was still hot and it would be. Sometime, my Mother would make him Hot Cocoa and he will always leave a little bit in Stanley and bring it home for me to drink and it would taste just like it was made the way my Mom made in morning. Yep, those were the good old days, sure do miss my parents, but this Stanley always reminds me of my parents.
Thanks, Stanley for the memories, now I have seen the color ones and looking to get a pink one because I just became a 1st time grandmother. A beautiful baby girl and I hope I can leave wonderful memory for her like my parents did for me.

I was drinking coffee from my green Stanley bottle one chilly fall morning, waiting for my crew to arrive. I set it down on the tool box on the back of my truck, and forgot about it as I was busy loading the gear one of my guys showed up with. Anyhow, I drove off without taking it off the back of the truck. A few miles down the road I saw something in my mirror bounce from the truck, at 50 miles an hour. I pulled over, knowing it was my thermos. My crew knew too, as they were laughing like crazy. It had a couple of knicks and a small dent, but has worked fine ever since. As I got into the truck, I poured myself another hot cup of coffee. Can still leave it all day, 8-10 hours, and pour myself a hot cup for the ride home.

My favorite Stanley memory is everyday! My husband fills his thermos up at six am with his morning coffee and adds some cream and sugar then he just lays it on its side on his back floor of his jeep so while he drives to work it mixes up all by itself from rolling around back there. As he arrives home each day he asks me if I would like a cup of coffee and believe it or not it is still warm after a nine hour day and not to mention all mixed up.
We love our Stanley and would never live without one. My father still has his thermos from 15 or more years ago so I know we have many more enjoyable years with ours. Thank you Stanley.

My husband is a real coffee hound; and today he came in the house real down in the mouth. He had “broken” the stoppers on “both” of his big Stanley thermoses on the same day. These two Stanley's have been his constant companions for the last 25 years and from the look on his face he had lost his best friends. Needless to say I am online today ordering 2 more stoppers for them. I think he will be using the cup to protect the stoppers from now on. Thank you for these great products.

I remember when my dad worked for Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. and he'd get up really early and get ready for work. Mom would have his breakfast ready and then fill the thermos with ready made coffee, and off to work he'd go. My dad worked two jobs, and hunted and fished when not working. I still remember that Stanley thermos Coffee cup going along with him. Sometimes, if the four-of-us-kids were good, he'd let us have a small cup of coffee with milk and sugar. Really had a nice time. He passed away in 1995, and I just wish I could find the thermos of his. I'd take it on all out (mom and me) our trips. This year we're going back to her dad's ranch and spend a little quality time with the area. This is an extremely good product.

I drive a truck for 28 years. I have been carrying coffee in a Stanley for almost the whole time. I got all my things out of the truck one day so the truck could be fuel up and the next driver could go on his run. I could not find my Stanley. I looked everywhere. I went to where the truck was being fueled and I had laid Stanley on the side of tank. It rode across the yard and to the fuel island. It has ridden inside with me for years but first time on the outside....

My favorite Stanley memory is also my saddest. I always fill a thermos of coffee for my drive to my Alma Mata on Saturdays. On sat Sept 16th, I was so elated that my Auburn Tigers had defeated LSU 7-3 I accidentally left my thermos at the tail-gate site in Auburn. This week when I returned to Auburn my beloved thermos was gone. I bought a new today 09/24/2006 and will continue the pre-game ritual of filling a Stanley with coffee to make the 21/2 hour drive. WAR EAGLE and thanks for keeping my cup filled.

Today was the day I bought my first Stanley and yes, it was a good one. I just started working construction and got my first pay check Friday, put it in the bank and this was the first thing I wanted to buy. My grandpa had one for as long as I can remember and gave it to a buddy of his and I always wanted one so today, my check cleared and I went out and bought one.

My dad had a big green Stanley thermos that he used for work. It was an honor, when occasionally he would ask if I could fill 'er up. I can clearly recall and feel this childhood memory, and the smile on his face, as I completed the task.
So, upon a stop @ Target, a few weeks back, I spotted the Stanley thermos's and then, Oh My! A pink one! The sight of the pink Stanley, got me telling the story above, to my boyfriend, as I finish, he grabs the pink one and says that I must have it! And I do!
And then... I took it to work, and my co-worker (summer college student), loves pink, her favorite color. Recalling some of our conversations, I knew what to get her for a “back to school - good-bye” gift.
Yes, a Pink Stanley!

Dear Sirs,
I have owned two of your stainless steel thermos flasks for many years.
For the past 15 years, they have accompanied me on all my expeditions into some of the roughest terrain Africa has to offer.
They have been dropped, bounced, bumped, knocked and thrown without any complaint apart from superficial scratches but there is one thing they couldn’t stand up to, finally they were stolen and I miss them dearly.
Could you please send me a pro-forma invoice for two of what must be the most durable flask in the world?
Yours faithfully

Growing up, my Father was an Engineer for the Union Pacific Rail Road. His work took him from the Salt Lake City valley to Green River, WY; a trip that lasted nearly 12 hours one way. When the snow would fly outside, my Father would fill his Stanley thermos with soup and head out on the rails where he would enjoy a hot meal in those frozen locomotives. Now that I am older, it is time to get a thermos of my own. I picked up this new hobby of Astronomy, and during winter, the frigid nights can spoil a good evening real quick. Following in the footsteps of Pa, I went out and bought a new Stanley thermos of my own. Thanks to Stanley, now I not only see the stars, but I can enjoy them being warm from the hot chocolate in my thermos.

I was the sonar officer on board the USS Will Rogers in 1987. After one dive down to test depth after being surfaced, we had a rattle in the sail. As the sonar officer, I was the one who had to find it. The first place I inspected was the Bridge where the Officer of the Deck and his lookout stood their watches when we were surfaced. There I found our trusty Stanley thermos now crushed into the shaped of a perfect hexagon. I spun off the top and looked inside. The interior was still in fine shape. Before going to test depth, the circular shape was a little big for my hand and I had to use two hands. Now it fit my hand perfectly and I could hold my cup in one hand and pour with the other. We had two Stanleys on board and we immediately took the second to test depth and it worked again. Stanley can now say their thermoses are good to test depth on U.S nuclear submarines.
