At the age of 18, I started working in my Father's footsteps as a crane operator in the local steel mill. Being a crane operator means that you have to stay up in the cab 100 ft off the ground with very little time for bathroom breaks, My father bought me my first 1.1qt Stanley thermous just like his so I cought count on hot coffee whenever I wanted it. After ten years, the steel plant closed and I became a truck driver. My Stanley thermous went with me everywere. Like me, it has seen every major city in every drivable state. Now that I drive local, my thermous not just gives me hot coffee while at work, but I depend on it for hot coffee while I'm up in my treestand hunting, hot chocolate while downhill sleding with the kids, hot toddies when I'm ice fishing on Lake Erie, even during summer Barbaques for that nice cold drink. It goes with me to football games, to outdoor concerts, summer hikes, fairgrounds, and even to the local zoo. I recently bought my son, now 20, his first stanley thermous. Stanley has been part of our family for many years, and it will be with us for many more. I can count on Stanley.

I have been a stanley owner for about 15 years got my first thermos from my grandfather. That on got ran over one day at work when i left it one the running board of the truck. I now have a thermos that i got from my dad he carried it for 30 years of service on the railroad. it doesnt have any of the green paint left on it and the out side is pretty beat up,but it still keeps my coffee warm for those long cold winter nights here at the oregon road dept. its just like haveing an old friend with me every time I get a hot cup of joe. from my old family friend.

Since as far as far as I can remember I have always been handing the most dedicated man who i call my father his stanley thermos with a broken handle [using a zip tie to take its place]and reminding him "I love you, and drive safe..." gave him another kiss "I love you." Right before he would leave to work each night to be home with me and my sister's each morning when we got up. This year as I am now old enough and take care of my own affairs , finances e.t.c., I noticed his thermos and told him, "Dad, I think it is time for a new thermos." He turns to me like he is in the middle of a commercial and say, "Sweets, (his nickname for me when i was little) remember its a Stanley." Thank you for being such an amazing memory throughout or lives. =]

Started using my Stanley thermos when my son and I joined the Cub Scouts, he as a Tiger Cub at age 7. Together we became quite envolved and he progressed up through the ranks on to Boy Scout and eventually Eagle Scout by age 18. I became an Assistant Scoutmaster too. My Stanley Thermos was with me all the way through the Scouting Years, 11 all together, every meeting, every function and of course every camp. At camps the other adults came to know that if I had my Stanley I would also have some great hot coffee too and I became the guy with the coffee thanks to the Stanley Thermos. What a great time this was. Thanks Stanley for help building some forever memories of my Son and I. With the Stanley Thermos I always had a head start fullfilling the Scout Motto of "Be Prepared".

My Dad worked in a sawmill since he came to BC Canada in 1977. I recall his (and our) Stanley Classic as long ago as I can remember. Dad bought his Stanley when we didn't have alot of money, but he knew quality. He had several metal and plastic lunchkits over the years, but only 1 Stanley Classic for his tea. I remember the first lunchkits he had actually fit the bottle inside. The newer ones were smaller, so each one he bought, he cut out the end so the bottle would fit inside the lunch kit, with the cup poking out. When we were kids and went on vacation, the tea carrier would get a good scrub, and hold boiled hotdogs for our weekend outings. I now own a Stanley classic of my own (actually 2) and hope my son's will remember seeing it as a part of who i am as well.
