I purchased my first Stanley bottle when I was hired onto the Fire Department. I noticed that a few of our "vets" had a thermos filled with coffee, especially in the winter months. Sometimes, on larger fires and incidents, we have multiple hours of standing around, in a rehab station, or simply just waiting on mother nature to do it's work. I remember my grandfather always had a Stanley thermos ready to go in the early morning hours, when he worked on the railroad. My grandmother would wake up when his call came in for the train, and pour a fresh pot of coffee into the thermos. I asked her why she did that, thinking it would be cold by the time he arrived at the rail yard. My grandmother simply smiled. Now I know why. That beat up, old, weathered green thermos that had accumulated many different train stickers over his career, kept his coffee just as hot as it did the day he bought it! Mine isn't as weatherd yet, I have my first Fire Department company sticker on it today, but I have earned some credit from the older "vets" that use your product as well. They tell me that someone, somewhere, had taught me a thing or two! I feel like even though my grandfather was walking along the rails on very cold nights, and I may be on a ladder spraying water in the same weather, he is near me drinking coffee out of his thermos, telling me that someday my thermos will bear the hard work his does. Thank you for keeping my grandfather's coffee, as well as my fellow firefighters, and now mine, hot!

When my grand father passed away back in 1989, my mom gave me his "old" Stanley vacuum thermos. It was pretty rough looking when I received it but other than having to replace the rubber seal and the cup, that thermos is still in great working condition now in 2010!

As a kid my grand father had his stanley thermos that he took everwhere to work, out hunting, and fishing. My dad has his own stanley that he does the same with. I got mine when I was 18 I am now 28. The only difference in the three thermos' is they were all bought in different era's. They all keep our coffee, coco or soup hot no matter how cold it gets in the woods come late november you can all ways count on your stanley for nice hot cup of whatever. I have worked in the constuction field all my life. Doesn't matter where I'm working or who I am working with. When I break out the stanley for a coffee break the guys all ways ask how long have you had your stanley. Or how many other thermos' did you go threw till you got a stanley? And the conversations all ways end the same..... Nothing beats a Stanley!

My grandfather worked his tail off in the coal mines of southwestern Virginia. He carried his Stanley thermos for over 30 years. It stood the test of time and is still in his garage to this day. Seeing how durable it was led me to purchase my first Stanley thermos yesterday when my other off-brand one wore out. I am confident I won't have that problem again.

I was a little kid in the 80's and i remember my grandpa's Stanley looked like it had been around for a while even then. He was the county vet and I'm sure it went with him on many calls even though all the farmers would welcome him with a cup of joe. Camping was a large part of our family and that Stanley was at every one. Now it is my dad's and he and my mom take it everywhere. I've never poured anything cold out of it, always impressed at how well it does it's job. naturally, when my husband and i got married we registered for our own stanley and i'm happy to say we got one! Quality seems so hard to find anymore, so thank you!

My dad was given this vacuum bottle on Fathers day in 1989 when I was 2. He was a was a mechanic and used it every day taking coffee to work. He passed away in 2005 from cancer. I have sorta followed in his footsteps. I also am a mechanic only on aircraft. My mom gave me his vacuum bottle after he passed. I use it quite often, taking hot soup, or coffee to work. I have a few other bottles that cant keep anything hot for an hour. After 21 years of keeping things hot or cold, the stopper broke. I thought I was going to have to toss the bottle, I thought I'll never find another stopper or a bottle that means so much to me or works so well. I am glad to see that I can purchase a new stopper. Who knows maybe when my kids are grown up I'll pass it on to them. Sincerly, Brad
