My son , Scotty, stops by often after working all day. Don't know whether it is because of my home cooking or the aroma of the coffee brewing. One evening when he stopped, I didn't have any coffee made and I mentioned making some. He quickly said "No, no, I've got some out in the truck and proceded to go get it. Now Scotty doesn't usually brag but when he came back in raving how the coffee was still hot.... Since very early morning. He put the thermos up close to my face, pointing to the name on it, STANLEY. This is a Stanley and it keeps the coffee hot, I mean HOT. It keeps soup hot too, I like to take it sometimes especially when it's winter and working outside." I laughed and told him he sounded like a Commercial and I thought I would write you and tell you about it. Didn't know when I got on your web sight that I would find other letters too. Guess everybody that has a Stanley Thermos has something to brag about. Scotty's Mom Maxine Shipps

My father has a classic Stanley thermos that lived under the cabinet for years. He used to carry it to work, back when he drank coffee. The last time I remember him taking it, I was at most, six years old. His Stanley thermos is most certainly older than I am (25 years). I took it out recently while looking for a thermos on a cold day to carry coffee with me to the rifle range. Unfortunately, I forgot the thermos in my car, but the next morning, after a frigid night of about 28 degrees, the coffee was still hot, 24 hours later. I now carry my coffee in my own Stanley thermos, and hope to pass one on to my children.

The first Christmas that I was married I received a Stanley Thermos. As an avid coffee drinker I was thrilled. I worked at the post office at 4am each morning and coffee was my wake up call. It was so great to have hot coffee made by me.... strong and very black. To my admiration the coffee was hot during my breaks and at lunch and remained hot until I got off at 1pm. I have bragged about my thermos to everyone I know. My thermos was placed between the seat and door to keep it from falling out each morning as I began my trek to work. It was like a part of me for those 33 years. Every now and then I would open the door before thinking and the thermos would fall to the pavement and roll under the car and even through the parking lot or driveway. The thermos took quiet a beating but never compromised the quality of my coffee. Friends would say I needed a new thermos because it looked like it had seen better days. I said no thanks......I will use this wonderful thermos until I retire and so I did. I retired 2 years ago and for the last year I have worked a part time job and once again It has become a part of me. I meet a friend at 6am every morning to walk for an hour with my thermos between the seat and door. As common practice she will open my passenger door to say something and there goes the thermos. It is still hanging in there. In a day and time when things are made so poorly I must say that no one I know has anything that has withstood the haphazard treatment of this thermos and survived through the ordeal. My thermos is pretty ratty looking but I would not trade it for anything. I wonder if it will last another ten years. I am not a betting person but I think I would stake money that it will still be doing it's job when I am long gone. I commend Stanley on their product. I have a newer wide mouth thermos but I cannot part with my old friend that has survived 33 years of postal service, abuse and constant use. I got on your website to order a lid for the wide mouth and saw this opportunity. I have told people that someday I would tell you my story and send you a picture of the hard knocks it has survived. I have no idea how to send the picture but take it from me it looks pretty bad but it is still my prize possesion. Donna Ward

I always saw my dad carrying around this green stanley coffee thermos, and remember always wanting one, for years... I finally just bought my first stanley thermos, and I am stoked, today is my dads birthday, he passed away a few years ago, and buying this today was awesome, brings back good memories. I'm 27, and the proud new owner of a stanley product. Just so you know, this thing will be traveling with me every winter into the backcountry of Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and British Columbia on some great snowboarding adventures, as well as each summer throughout the same areas on Rock Climbs, back packing trips, and even each morning when I hit the lake at 5 a.m. for some good times behind the boat on a wakeboard. I think my dad would be pround to know that I own a Stanley Thermos. Thanks for sticking around and making an awesome product. Jason B. P.S.- My mom uses my dads thermos now... it is still in commission.

I left my stanley wide mouth thermos on the roof of the truck. When I realized what I'd done,I called home. The thermos was found a couple of blocks away, where I make my first turn.It had been run over by a couple of cars. The exterior is dented, and I will order a new cup & stopper today.I still use it at work daily & it saves me a ton of dough. The dent actually makes it easier to hold!I purchased one for my son for Christmas. He will save money and have a better lunches as I do.
